Straubing, in October 2008 DYNACORD is introducing the new PROMATRIX 8000 system at Security 2008 in Essen. The system unites in a single device the requirements of the large-scale sound reinforcement and audio/video fields as well as offering the functions of an evacuation system.Since its market launch ten years ago, PROMATRIX has become synonymous with networkable, digital audio systems.
Many installations throughout the world – including high-calibre references such as the Marriott Hotel in Singapore and Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam – underline the esteem in which the system is held.Comments DYNACORD Product Manager Nils Schächtele: “With the PROMATRIX 8000, we are reacting to the ever closer association of pro sound and evacuation systems.
Equipped with excellent components, the PROMATRIX 8000 enhances the existing system in important respects, such as audio quality, signal processing and handling.”PROMATRIX 8000 is suitable for a wide range of venues, including swimming baths with wellness centres, school complexes with integrated gymnasiums and assembly halls, large hotels with a diversity of events facilities, and multi-function halls – as well, naturally, as stadiums and sports centres of all kinds.
However, it is not only due to the high audio quality and unrivalled reliability in case an evacuation should ever prove necessary that a PROMATRIX 8000 represents a sound investment for customers; for economic and practical reasons, too, it makes sense to opt for a PROMATRIX 8000.
The new system offers in comparison with PROMATRIX 4000 (among other things): more power combined with lower power consumption (achieved through the use of Class-D technology), a more compact format (all amps a mere two rack units in height), and simpler network configuration, as well as sparing customers the additional expense of investing in pro sound controllers, as these are already integrated. The heart of the system is the DPM 8016 Matrix Manager with integrated controller and flexible matrix (up to 16 audio inputs and outputs).
The new system offers high audio quality, the possibility of constructing large networked systems (up to 100 central units in one network), extensive configuration and operation options (via IRIS-Net software) and a wide range of supervision functions for all components.
