DYNACORD Academies in Dubai and Straubing

Straubing, August, 2009 Eleven audio specialists from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt attended a Dynacord Academy in Dubai from the July 7 to July 9. The three-day workshop, devoted to the Dynacord Promatrix 4000, was based on a new training concept whereby not only the theoretical advantages of a modern approach to hardware and software design but also the practical application of the new technology were described in detail.

The goals of the seminar were clear: by the end of the academy, attendees should be able to design their own systems on short notice, make them operational, and identify and correct any faults.

“The concept proved a total success,” reports Nils Schächtele, Product Manager for Dynacord PI–ELA, who conducted the seminars. “In the course of three days, the participants made tremendous progress.” The Academy was held in Bosch’s Dubai offices and planned by Anthony Sawyer, Technical Support Manager for Electro-Voice and Dynacord.

The same principles were applied to equal effect at Dynacord’s ProLive Academy in Straubing from July 20 to July 22. The academy offered 11 German customers from the mobile audio sector and rental business an opportunity to broaden their experience and acquire a more profound understanding of the technology behind Dynacord systems like the Cobra and the VariLine. Attendees were once again shown the best and most modern techniques for working with the new equipment.

“We made the most efficient use possible of the available time,” reports Oliver Sahm, Director of the Technical Support team, ProAudio Europe/Middle East/Africa, “with succinct product demonstrations backed by detailed discussion of practical applications. The feedback from customers attending the academy was excellent – especially since the workshops dealt with, and provided solutions to, some of the core problems faced by rental companies in Germany today: how to comply with the increasingly strict regulations on sound emission levels and how to target low-frequency radiation through the use of cardioid bass setups.” A detailed hands-on session in the Test and Demo Hall in Straubing, in which the conditions of live performance were reproduced realistically, brought the ProLive Academy to a successful conclusion.
