New sports hall in Smederevo

Straubing, September, 2009 Just in time for the World Student Games, which were held in Serbia from July 1 to July 12, a new sports hall opened in Smederevo. Boasting state-of-the-art equipment, the new 3,500-seat hall meets all the demands of today’s major sporting events. Mega Music, Dynacord’s partner in Serbia, was responsible for the installation of the sound system. Together with the new hall’s management, Mega Music opted for a Promatrix 4000 system – a powerful, all-in-one solution.

Heard today in countless installations all over the world, the Promatrix 4000 not only combines ELA (announcements/voice alarm/evacuation) with pro sound, audio networking, and multimedia but also meets the very highest standards for sound quality and functionality. More than 160 Dynacord DL 96A and DL 84 ceiling loudspeakers round off the installation to ensure homogeneous coverage not only in the main hall but also throughout what is now Serbia’s top indoor sports complex in areas such as the bowling alley, shooting gallery, passageways, staircases, and changing rooms. Despite its complexity, the installation went like clockwork. Mega Music’s Davor Tomovic comments:

The Promatrix 4000 with IRIS-Net software has proved so easy to operate that the hall’s technicians are delighted.

“During the Games, more than 30 events were taking place in the hall per day,” says Milos Dikic, the hall’s director. “Therefore, we needed a system that was both reliable and easy to use. The Promatrix 4000 scored full marks on both counts.”

Above all, it was the extraordinary sound quality delivered by the Promatrix that made the biggest impression. “I’m more than satisfied with the transparency, loudness, and intelligibility of the system,” says Dikic. “The commentators and the competitors and technicians are convinced that we have the best sound system in all Serbia!”
