F 12 CWH

The F 12 CWH is concepted as a medium long-throw mid/high- frequency cabinet in coaxial design. But it can be used also without subwoofer cabinets in high-quality sound reinforcement system for speech, if long distances are demanded. The recommended active x-over frequency is 160 Hz, 18 dB/oct. Butterworth. In the lo-mid range an DL 12 ST Electro-Voice loudspeaker chassis works into a conical horn. The 80x55 Constant Directivity horn, driven by a 2inch driver DH7 variant delivers the frequency range above 800 Hz. Therefore the F 12 CWH is equipped with a passive x-over (800 Hz, 18 dB/oct). Every loudspeaker chassis is reliably protected against critical power levels and short thermal overload by thermo switches and halogen lamp protection. The F 12 CWH cabinet is made of poplar plywood 15 mm. All corner joints and braces are grooved and glued, in order to reduce natural resonances to a minimum. The cabinet surface is finished in extremely resistant needled black-mottled felt. A powder-coated steel grid and an acoustic foam front protects the speaker front. The connector panel uses two 4-pole Speakon connectors (Input/Output) for safe connection and easy chaining to the next loudspeaker. The pin assignment is switchable from NORMAL to SYSTEM. The handle trays on the sides guarantee easy and safe transport. 4 large-sized rubber feet and 4 castors allow easy handling and safe stand. A recessed speaker- stand threaded flange on the top and a speaker-stand sleeve at the bottom allow various setups (clusters, stacks).
