The 'Mobile Audio' division is responsible for the development and production of mixers, power amplifiers, loudspeakers, signal processors, mixing consoles and powered mixers. Among the many trend-setting 'mobile audio' systems produced by EVI Audio are the PowerMate from DYNACORD (which, with over 80,000 units sold, is the world's best-selling powered mixer with integrated effects processors).

This product group includes sound reinforcement systems for large-scale events of all kinds - they could be giant open-air festivals, performances in concert halls (great or small) or civic celebrations; they could be sporting or cultural events of global importance. Despite the very diverse equipment needs of these applications, EVI Audio is in a position to provide the ideal system for each one, its technical expertise and long years of experience in this area yielding a product portfolio that is at the same time comprehensive and of uniform excellence. With DYNACORD Cobra, the world's first compact line array system, the company is constantly setting new standards in sound reinforcement.

The fixed installation product group sub-divides into two groups that overlap to a certain extent but the essential emphasis of which is different: paging systems (alarm and public address) and pro sound. Paging systems are used primarily for messages, background music and, in case of emergency, for alarm signals and announcements designed to save lives, such as directions as to how to evacuate a building or stadium. The emphasis of pro sound systems, on the other hand, is upon the high quality reproduction of music, though obviously sound reinforcement systems of this type could equally well be used for speeches or announcements as well.

DYNACORD has further extended its lead in this field with the development of a revolutionary technology permitting the remote-monitoring of loudspeakers (remote amplifiers are capable of providing detailed information on the status of individual drivers). Further evidence of the status of the company in this area is the fact that the norm outlined in a recent DYNACORD pamphlet on electro-acoustic warning systems (EN 60849 / VDE 0828) has won acceptance as the international standard.
