Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas — the new home of the Texas Rangers and venue for the 2020 MLB World Series — has been named Systems Contractor News Install of the Year, with Dynacord IPX series amplifiers driving the ballpark's main bowl loudspeaker systems.
Globe Life Field, recently completed as the new home of the Texas Rangers and the venue for the 2020 MLB World Series, has been recognized as Systems Contractor News Install of the Year. The AV systems integration was undertaken by Diversified in collaboration with consultants WJHW.
Dynacord IPX series amplifiers power the ballpark's main bowl loudspeaker systems. The amplifiers carry Eco Rail technology, which reduces power consumption by up to 50 percent, and Ghost Power technology, which keeps audio running through power outage situations.
The installation combines loudspeakers, amplifiers, and DSP from multiple manufacturers, and represents one of the first implementations using validated third-party loudspeaker presets for Dynacord amplifiers. The system uses the Dante protocol for audio transport and a Q-SYS platform plugin for audio routing.
Additional equipment at Globe Life Field includes Bosch security cameras, Electro-Voice EVID series loudspeakers, and RTS IP intercoms.
