Dynacord's MXE5 matrix mix engine gets new functionality for IP-based media and building control systems
Dynacord has added control-system integration to the MXE5 matrix mix engine — plug-ins for Crestron and Q-SYS, an HTTP/HTTPS server API, and OCA controller capability for IP-based media and building control systems.
Dynacord introduced the MXE5 last summer as the first model in the new MXE matrix mix engine series. The performance audio matrix carries 24 x 24 crosspoints for routing and mixing, and acts as a communications hub for IP-based peripherals with control and monitoring built in. Its network infrastructure supports Dante audio transport and AES70-compliant control, which suits stadiums, sports venues, convention centers, churches, and educational facilities.
The MXE5 now integrates with Crestron and Q-SYS control systems through plug-ins. An HTTP/HTTPS server API opens it to IP-based media and building control systems. The unit also functions as an OCA controller, so it can manage other OCA-based devices — including Dynacord IPX series amplifiers — and connect the audio system to the wider controls of an installation.
DSP configuration runs in SONICUE sound system software. Plug-ins and SONICUE are available as free downloads.
New training resources
Dynacord released new training videos and web-based resources for the MXE5 and the TPC-1 Touch Panel Controller. The material is available on YouTube and on the Bosch Communications Systems Academy platform.
